Youth football season kicks off Saturday

Teams from a dozen area communities will be competing as the Niagara Orleans Football Association kicks off its season this Saturday.

The youth football league’s lineup includes Albion, Lyndonville, Holley, Roy-Hart/Barker, Akron, Newfane, Batavia, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba, LeRoy, Attica, Pembroke and Tri-Town.

Albion will host LeRoy and Lyndonville will entertain Attica on Saturday with games at 11 a.m. (Beginner Division), 1 p.m. (Mini Division) and 3 p.m. (JV Division).

Saturday’s other opening day matchups will have Akron vs. Roy-Hart/Barker at Barker, Holley at Newfane, Oakfield-Alabama/Elba at Batavia and Tri-Town at Pembroke.

The league’s 8 week regular season will conclude on October 11 with the playoff semifinals on Oct. 18 and the finals on Oct. 25.
