White Birch splits in ‘A’ Div. softball twin bill

White Birch earned a split in Medina Women’s Softball League ‘A’ Division action Monday evening defeating Parkitects 27-11 and losing to Jr. Wilson 20-8.

In White Birch’s win over Parkitects, Ella Lewis had a home run, double and two singles; Anna Lewis a triple, double and single, Stacy Buckland 3 singles and a double, Mallory Albone a double and 2 singles; Brynn Howell a double and single, Dana Siffringer and Lily Kompe 3 singles, Kenzi Muck, Aubrey Lewis and Gracie Johnson 2 singles each and Bekah Hoffee a single.

Jr. Wilson was led by Sara Flansburg with a single, triple and homerun; Stormi Kruger 2 homeruns and a single; Jodi Zacher a single, double and triple and Chasity Chinn 2 doubles and 2 singles.

For White Birch, Hoffee had a double and single; Aubrey Lewis, Ella Lewis and Kenzi Muck 3 singles; Johnson, Buckland. Siffringer and Howell 2 singles and Albone and Kompe 1 single.

In the season opener, Jr. Wilson came back from a one run deficit in the top of the 7th inning to rally and score five runs to best Dubby’s Tailgate 12-8.

A walk and a double from Jenna Wlostowski set up the scoring in the 7th, followed by singles from Jaclyn Rodriguez and Kruger. Jodi Zacher doubled and  Chinn singled to round out the scoring in the 7th.

Wlostowski finished 4-4 on the day with a home run and a double, while Rodriguez, Kruger and Zacher all finished with three hits on the day. Flansburg added a 3-run home run in the 3rd inning.
