Rotary rallies to win Midget League thriller
Rotary rallied late for an exciting 6-5 Albion Midget League win over Hamlin on Saturday.
Trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the fifth Rotary rallied as Jackson Fraiser belted a three-run double to tie the game and Remi Ebbs followed up with an RBI double for what proved to be the game winning run.
Ebbs then locked up the win as he registered 3 strikeouts in the top of the sixth to end the game. He had a big day on the mound allowing no hits and no earned runs while striking out 11 in five innings of work.
In the season opener Rotary dropped a 13-2 decision to Barre.
Mark Shomske had a double and also had a fine defensive game in the the outfield while Gavin O’Bracta and Remi Ebbs did a good job pitching.
