Kendall ‘9’ bests Alexander to go to 17-1
Scoring runs in bunches, Kendall improved to 17-1 overall by rolling to a 16-3 win over visiting Alexander in a Genesee Region League baseball game this morning.
Trailing 1-0, Kendall rallied into the lead for good by scoring twice in the home half of the first inning on an RBI single by Vinnie D’Agostino and an error.
The Kendall lead quickly increased to 5-1 in the second inning on an RBI single by Jonny Conte, an error and an RBI double by Colby Hughes.
The Eagles then broke the contest wide open by erupting for 6 runs in the third inning and 5 more in the fourth.
Mikey Colucci had a two-run single and Vinnie D’Agostino and Hughes run producing sacrifice flies in the third. CJ D’Agostino then had a two-run double and Hughes and Sammy Conte RBI singles in the fourth.
CJ D’Agostino and Hughes both finished with 2 hits.
Gavin Braun picked up the win on the mound allowing 3 hits and striking out 4 in 4 innings of work on the mound.
