Albion Midget League set for openers

An expanded Albion Midget League is scheduled to begin play on Monday for the 12U Division and on Tuesday for the 9U Division.

The 12U Division has expanded to 11 teams with the addition of a second Holley team and two teams from Brockport.

The West Division will include Barre, Carlton, Sandstone and Rotary along with the two Elba teams.

The East Division will include Hamlin along with the two teams each from Holley and Brockport.

Each team will play a 15 game regular season schedule which is slated to conclude on June 30. The playoffs are scheduled for July 7, 9 and 12 for the championship game.

The season opening matchups on Monday will have Rotary at Barre, Carlton at Elba A, Elba B at Sandstone and Holley A at Holley B.
Brockport 1 will open at Brockport 2 on Wednesday. The other games that evening will have Carlton at Elba B, Barre at Elba A, Rotary at Sandstone and Holley B at Hamlin.

The 9U Division now has 9 teams including Sandstone, Vets, Holley, Carlton 1 and Carlton 2 in the North Division along with Barre, Rotary, Elba 1 and 2 in the South Division.

Each team will play a 12 game regular season schedule which is slated to conclude on June 21. The playoffs are scheduled for June 26, 28 and July 1.

The opening day matchups on Tuesday will have Barre at Elba 1, Elba 2 at Rotary, Sandstone at Carlton 1 and Carlton 2 at Vets. Holley will open at Rotary on Thursday. The other matchups that evening will have Barre at Sandstone, Carlton 1 at Elba 1 and Elba 2 at Carlton 2.
