Barker posts key softball win over Wilson

Defending champion Barker posted a 15-1 win over Wilson in a key Niagara-Orleans League softball game this afternoon.

Barker improves to 7-2 with the victory while Wilson slips into third place at 7-3.

Roy-Hart maintained a hold on first place by defeating Newfane 12-3 to improve to 8-1.

Barker took the lead for good by scoring four times in the second inning on a two-run double by Madelina Pavlock and a two-run single by Elise Monaco.

The Lady Bulldogs went on to score 5 runs in the third inning and 3 more in both the fourth and fifth frames.

Monaco finished with 3 hits as Pavlock, Kaylee Stoll, Peyton Bradley, Fallyn Mescall and winning pitcher Madyson Flint each had 2. Mescall’s hits included a triple as Stoll and Flint also both had doubles.

In the circle, Flint scattered 4 hits and struck out 9.

Roy-Hart 12, Newfane 3
Front running Roy-Hart boosted its N-O record to 8-1 with a 12-3 victory over Newfane as Kaitlyn Mettler had two triples, Peyton May a triple and 2 RBIs and Millie Owens and Alayna Kowalski 2 singles apiece.

Abby Fox registered 6 strikeouts in the circle for the Lady Rams.
