Rams and Eagles romp to diamond wins
Pounding out 17 hits, Roy-Hart romped to a 15-5 win over Newfane in a Niagara-Orleans League baseball game this afternoon.
Sean Mettler had 4 hits, including 2 doubles and a triple, Will Bundrock 3 and Jared Hy, John Brigham and RJ Townsend 2 each to lead the Rams attack.
Roy-Hart took charge at the outset erupting for 7 runs in the first inning including doubles by Mettler, Evan Poeller, Townsend and Brigham along with singles by Mettler, Townsend and Blake Stahl.
Roy-Hart is now 3-4 and Newfane 2-6 in N-O action.
Kendall 19, Lyndonville 0
Kendall bested host Lyndonville 19-0 in a Genesee Region League game.
The Eagles broke the contest wide open by erupting for 16 runs in the third inning highlighted by a two-run double by Vinnie D’Agostino and a two-run single by Mikey Colucci.
Jonny Conte had 3 hits on the day for the Eagles as Colucci and Andrew D’Agostino both had 2.
Kendall is now 11-1.
Wilson 12, Barker 0
Wilson exploded for 9 runs with two outs in the fifth inning to close out a 12-0 win over Barker in another N-O contest.
A three-run double by Austin Woodward and a two-run single by Cam Breyer highlighted the marathon inning.
Woodward, Tyler Woolson and winning pitcher Tyler Durow each finished with a pair of hits.
On the mound, Durow allowed only 3 hits and struck out 8.
