Roy-Hart’s Gavyn Boyle, a sophomore outfielder at SUNY Niagara, belted a three run home run this afternoon to help the Thunderwolves defeat Monroe Community College 5-2 in 9 innings to remain undefeated at 42-0 on the season.
Boyle, who is hitting .377, has 15 doubles, 4 triples, 9 home runs and 43 RBIs on the season.
Medina grad Aidan Paul, a sophomore pitcher for the Thunderwolves, has a 7-0 record on the mound with 51 strikeouts and a 1.10 earned run average.
Six area players are also helping the Finger Lakes Community College baseball team enjoy a successful season as the Lakers are 32-16 and 16-6 in the league.
The local group includes Roy-Hart graduates Jacob Gould, a freshman infielder and Ethan Kuzma, a freshman catcher; Medina grad Julian Woodworth, a freshman outfielder; Lyndonville grad Trenton Muck, a sophomore pitcher; Kendall grad Zach Barrett, a freshman pitcher, and Wilson grad Connor Ernest, a freshman pitcher.
Kuzma is hitting .338 and has 7 doubles, 2 triples and 21 RBI and Gould is hitting .279 with 5 doubles, 2 triple, 1 home run and 18 RBIs.
On the mound, Muck is 2-2 and also has a save and has struckout 16. Barrett has 2 saves and 13 strikeouts and Ernest 2 wins and a dozen strikeouts.
