Mustangs complete shutout sweep over Tigers

Brody Fry hurled a one hit shutout with 12 strikeouts for the Mustangs.
Completing a home and home series sweep, Medina blanked Akron 3-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League baseball game at Vets Park this afternoon.
Defending champion Medina, which also scored a 10-0 shutout win at Akron on Monday, improves to 4-0 in N-O competition as the Tigers slip to 4-2.
Brody Fry went the distance on the mound for Medina allowing just 1 hit and striking out 12 over the seven innings.
The Mustang scored the only run they neeed as it turned out in the first inning on an RBI single by Ryleigh Culver.
Medina made it 2-0 in the second inning as Carter Woodworth doubled and came home on an RBI single by Hadrian Batista.
Woodworth then drove in the Mustangs final run with an RBI triple in the third inning.
Woodworth and Aidan Papaj both had a pair of hits on the afternoon for the Mustangs.
Medina next hosts Newfane at 4:45 p.m. Friday.
