Medina faces key diamond series with Akron

It is early in the season but defending champion Medina faces a key home-and-home Niagara-Orleans League baseball series with Akron early this coming week.

It is a matchup of the last two N-O champions as Akron claimed the crown in 2023.

Akron currently leads the N-O standings with a 4-0 record followed by Medina at 2-0.

Medina will visit Akron at 4:45 p.m. Monday. The Mustangs will then host the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Akron has scored a pair of victories over both Barker (2-2) and Wilson (1-3) while Medina has swept Roy-Hart (1-3).

Monday’s other N-O diamond matchups will have Barker at Albion (1-0) and Wilson at Newfane (0-3).

A key N-O softball contest on Monday will have Roy-Hart (4-1) at Wilson (4-1). The Lady Rams and Lakewomen are currently in a three-way tie for the N-O lead with defending champion Barker (4-1) which will host Akron (1-3)
