Rams sweep Mustangs in N-O track meet

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Roy-Hart’s Braden Ricker, left, won both the 100 and 200 and Medina’s Cayla Seever captured the 100 Hurdles and Long Jump during this afternoon’s meet which saw the Rams sweep the Mustangs.

Roy-Hart swept to a doubleheader victory over host Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League track meet this afternoon.

The Rams won the boys’ meet 106-35 and the girls’ competition 87-50.

Josiah Rodriguez was a triple winner in the 800, 1600 and 3200 for the Roy-Hart boys which also had a trio of double winners in Braden Ricker (100, 200), Tyson McCaa (Long Jump, Triple Jump) and Jackson West (Shotput, Discus).

The Roy-Hart girls were led by a trio of double winners including Addison Carr (200, 400), Taylor Alvord (800, 3000) and Josephine Silsby (400 Hurdles, Pole Vault).

The Medina girls had a pair of double winners in Mia Anderson (Shotput, Discus) and Cayla Seever (100 Hurdles, Long Jump).

Both Roy-Hart teams are now 2-0 while the Medina squads are both 0-1.

Wilson sweeps Akron
Wilson bested Akron winning the boys’ meet 119-21 and the girls’ 75 1/2-65 1/2.

Ryan Hough was a triple winner in the Long Jump, Triple Jump and 200 as was Jayden Ruble in the 1600, 3200 and 400 Hurdles to lead the way for the Wilson boys.

Savannah Jones doubled in the 100 and 200 and Marissa Schultz in the Triple Jump and Pole Vault to pace the Wilson girls.

Both Wilson teams are 1-0 in N-O action while the Akron girls are 1-1 and the boys 0-2.
