The boys team is looking to keep the momentum from last year’s second place finish and the girls squad to improve on a 2-4 season as Roy-Hart preps for the Niagara-Orleans League track opener at Barker next Tuesday (April 22).

The Roy-Hart boys finished in a tie for second place with Newfane at 4-1-1 last spring after the Rams and Panthers tied in their dual meet 70-70.

Senior Braden Ricker, who won both the 100 and 200 and placed third in the triple jump at the N-O All-League meet heads the Roy-Hart boys veteran contingent.

That group also includes seniors Zach Schultz (3rd in the 400), Josiah Rodriguez (3rd in the 1600 and 3200), Matt VanKeuren (5th in the 3200) and Jackson West (Shotput and Discus).

Juniors Jillian Ossont, who won the Steeplechase, and Kylie McOmber, who placed 4th in the 400 and Triple Jump) leads the Lady Rams veteran group.

The youthful Lady Rams squad’s returnees also include sophomores Marissa Bryant (3rd in the 3000) and Addison Carr (3rd in the 400) and 8th grader Julia Rohde (3rd in the 1500).

The Rams will also visit Medina on April 24 before hosting Albion in the home opener on April 29.
