Wilson trims Roy-Hart in N-O opener
Wilson nipped host Roy-Hart 4-3 in the Niagara-Orleans League baseball opener for both teams this afternoon.
Roy-Hart grabbed a 3-0 lead in the fifth inning on a single by Sean Mettler, an error, an RBI double by Evan Poeller, an error and a botched pickoff attempt.
However, Wilson answered back with the four decisive runs in the sixth inning on a walk, a passed ball and a two-run error.
The Rams did get two runners aboard in the bottom of the seventh but could not capitalize.
Tyler Johnston earned the win on the mound for the Lakemen allowing 3 hits and striking out 12 over six and one-third innings.

Kenmore East bested visiting Albion 14-2 in a non league baseball game.
