Local diamond duo helps SUNY Niagara Thunderwolves off to a 29-0 start

Two local players – Medina graduate Aidan Paul and Roy-Hart’s Gavin Boyle – have been playing key rolls in the SUNY Niagara basball team’s outstanding 29-0 start to the season.
Paul, a sophomore, improved his pitching record to 5-0 as he hurled the Thunderwolves to a 13-3 win over Erie Community College Thursday as he scatted 8 hits and struck out 6 over 6 innings.
He has registered 33 strikeouts in 28 innings of work on the mound and has a 2.25 earned run average.
Boyle, who is also a sophomore, is among the Thunderwolves top hitters .
He is batting .351 with 8 doubles, 4 triples, 4 home runs, 27 runs batted in and 29 runs scored.
He leads the Thunderwolves in triples and home runs and is third in RBIs.
