Kendall scores wire-to-wire win at Elba
Leading from wire-to-wire, Kendall improved to 4-2 in Genesee Region League boys basketball competition by scoring a 51-44 victory at Elba this evening.
CJ D’Agostino took game high honors with 19 to lead Kendall as Jonny Conte and Jonas Rhodes both had 12, William Kludt 6 and Vinnie D’Agostino 2.
Nicholas Scott and Ryan Marscell both had 10 to lead Elba as Jadiel Amaro added 9 and Bing Zuber 8.
Kendall jumped out to a 13-5 first quarter lead as Conte hit two threes and Rhodes had a three and a two.
CJ D’Agostino then had a big 13 point second quarter, including two threes and a three-point play, to keep the Eagles up by 14, 31-17 at the half.
Elba cut the deficit to six, 38-32, at the three quarter mark and closed to within three midway through the final period but could get no closer.
Baskets by Vinnie D’Agostino, CJ D’Agostino and Kludt along with a pair of free throws by Rhodes in the final two minutes helped the Eagles lock up the win.
In another G-R contest, Alexander downed visiting Lyndonville 99-23.
