Channel Cats sweep Seahorses
Roy-Hart/Barker scored a sweep over visiting Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening winning the boys’ meet 82-79 and the girls’ competition 97-76.
The victories keep the Channel Cats undefeated at 3-0 and in a tie for the N-O lead with Newfane which swept Akron by scores of 113-46 in the boys’ meet and 103-67 in the girls’.
Garrett Glyshaw won the 100 Breaststroke and Garrett Armenia the 500 Free for the Roy-Hart/Barker boys which took the lead for good with a 1-2-3 sweep of the 100 Breaststroke.
Bryson Ford doubled in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke and Jackson Reese in the 50 Free and 100 Free for the Medina boys squad. The Seahorses also had Bradley Goyette win the 100 Butterfly and Brandon Brueckner the 200 Free.
The Roy-Hart/Barker girls had Ava Achtyl double in the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Free and Maria Trombley in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke. Gloria Haller also took the 100 Butterfly, Abigail Glyshaw the 100 Breaststroke and Cheyenne Walker the 50 Free for the Channel Cats.
Medina’s Madeline Mark won the 200 Free for Medina.
Newfane sweeps Akron
The Newfane boys were led by a trio of individual event double winners as Noah Kneeland won the 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke, Matthew Page the 50 Free and 100 Free and Dylan Lamont the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke.
Kimberly Schmitt doubled in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke and Lauren Enderton in the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke.
Akron’s Audrey Garverick won both the 200 Free and 500 Free.
