Lady Tigers post win over Purple Eagles

Leading from wire-to-wire, Lyndonville downed visiting Albion 45-37 in a non league girls basketball game this evening.

Hannah Fox and Isabella Groves both scored 12 points to lead the way for Lyndonville. Addison Dillenbeck added 8, Lilly Raduns and Brooke Robinson 5 each and Alexa Robinson 3.

Kenzi Snook took game high scoring honors for Albion with 13 as Melia Prince and Leah Pawlak both added 9 and Cami London 6.

Up 13-6 after a very low scoring first half, Lyndonville extended its lead a bit to 12 at 29-17 after outpointing Albion 16-11 in the third period.

Fox scored 8, Dillenbeck 5 and Alexa Robinson 3 for the Lady Tigers during that stretch. Snook tallied 8, including a pair of threes, for the Purple Eagles.

Groves then scored 6, Raduns 5 and Fox 4 down the stretch to keep the Lady Tigers in control as the Purple Eagles could get no closer than 7. Pawlak scored 9 and Prince 6 in the final stanza for the Purple Eagles.

Lyndonville, which is now 1-1, will next host DeHostos in a non league game at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Albion, which is 1-3, will begin Niagara-Orleans League competition at home on Friday against Newfane.

Pembroke 37, Kendall 35
Pembroke nipped host Kendall 37-35 in a Genesee Region League contest.

Seneca Calderon led Pembroke with 12 as Peyton Liss, Onolee Easterbrook and Jayden Hootman each had 6.

Isabelle D’Agostino scored 15 and Brooke Rodas 8 for Kendall.
