Looking to fill a couple of big holes caused by graduation losses, Barker returns a good nucleus of seven veterans as the Bulldogs prep for the up coming Niagara-Orleans League basketball season.

The Bulldogs key losses were first team N-O All-League honoree Luey Castro (355 points, 200 rebounds) and second team All-League selection Aiden Mescall.

“Those were some big losses for sure but we have a good group returning,” said Coach Jake Haight.

Barker’s returning group includes seniors Owen Harris, Isaac Monaco, Logan Murrell, Wyatt Sherman, Alex Ark, Michael Kalynycz and junior Donovan Hefferon. Harris earned All-League Honorable Mention last year,

Barker, which went 5-7 in N-O action last year, will begin tuning up for the league campaign by hosting Alexander on Tuesday (6:30 p.m.). The Bulldogs will also visit Notre Dame on Dec. 6 and Pembroke on Dec. 11 before opening the N-O season at Akron on Dec. 13.
