N-O honors All-League Field Hockey team

All seven schools are represented on the first team of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League field hockey squad.

Undefeated (12-0) champion Akron leads the way with three selections including junior Marissa Brege and sophomores Madigan Regan and Madison Gates. Brege is a repeat honoree who had a 0.25 goals against average this season.

Runner-up Barker has placed the duo of senior Madilyn Detschner and junior Madelina Pavlock who are both repeat selections. Pavlock had 15 goals and 9 assists.

Roy-Hart likewise has two honorees in junior Dillan Santella and sophomore Adella Dukes who scored 16 goals.

Rounding out the first team are Medina junior Penelope Schalck, Wilson junior Mackenzie Hardy, Newfane senior Kyra Austin and Kenmore junior Zoey Dettbarn.

Schalck, who has been selected N-O Player of the Year, scored 20 goals and added 11 assists. She is a repeat selection as are Austin and Dettbarn.

Akron likewise has a trio of second team honorees including senior Julia Klodzinski, junior Morgan Tomporowski and sophomore Alexis Salmon.

Barker is represented by the junior duo of Kaylee Stoll and Jordyn Kinne.

Roy-Hart has placed juniors Alayna Kowalski and Brooke Zglinicki.

Completing the second team are Medina senior Sophia Goyette, Wilson junior Ruby Narehood, Newfane junior Nattalie Johnson and Kenmore sophomore Mackenzie Kumrow.

Wilson – Rayn Cooper and Reese Kepner.

Newfane – Gabby Ross, Ella Tower and Roxy Smith.

Kenmore – Annmarie Toukatly, Chloe Gallant, Bridget Pengelly and Alexis Casselman.
