Strong finish for Green in NXXT tour debut

Putting together a strong final round, Medina’s Melanie Green made her NXXT Pro Tour debut by finishing fifth at the series’ Winter season opening Club Adena Tournament at Ocala, Florida this past week.
Registering seven birdies, Green posted a 4 under par round of 66 to close the tourney finishing with a 1 under par 209 total three shots back of the leader.
Sharing tourney best honors with a total of 14 birdies over the 54 holes, Green opened with rounds of 70 and 73.
She will next be playing in the NXXT’s tourney at Rio Pinar at Orlando, Florida this coming week.
After that Green will continue her quest to earn an LPGA Tour Card by competing in the Q-School’s Final Stage Tournament in early December.
