Roy-Hart rolls in volleyball sectional opener

No. 3 seed Roy-Hart scored a straight set 25-9, 25-9, 25-19 victory over visiting No. 14 Salamanca this evening in the opening round of the Section VI Class C volleyball playoffs.
Emily Livergood had 7 spiking kills and Raegan Kern and Grave Pearl 6 each for Roy-Hart.
Ella Martillotta had 4 service aces for the Lady Rams as Kern and Pearl each had 3. Martillotta also had 23 assists.
Roy-Hart will next host No. 6 Falconer in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Falconer downed No. 11 Allegany-Limestone in 3 sets.

Springville downs Albion
No. 8 Springville bested visiting No. 9 Albion 25-5, 25-13, 25-13 in the opening round of the Section VI Class B1 playoffs this evening.
Taylor LeFrois had 3 kills for Albion as Alya Villaneuva had 27 digs and Madison LeBaron 19 digs.
