Jumping out to an early 6-0 lead, Barker went on to defeat visiting Medina 6-4 this afternoon as the Raiders improve to 3-0 in Niagara-Orleans League baseball competition.

Barker scored four quick runs in the first inning on a two-run single by Jake Meister and RBI singles by winning pitcher Brad Wilson and Kyle McDonald.

The Raiders tacked on two more runs in the second on a double by Wilson and a squeeze bunt by Meister.

Medina did rally late as Jared Zinkievich, seeing his first acton since being injured while making a diving catch on Tuesday, banged out a three-run triple in the seventh inning. However, the Mustangs rally fell short.

Wilson went the distance on the mound allowing 4 hits and striking out 7.

Playing their fourth game in as many days, the Mustangs slip to 1-3 in N-O action.
