Panthers top Mustang stickmen
Improving to 6-1, Gowanda/Silver Creek posted a 17-11 victory over Medina this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse game at Vets Park.
Medina jumped out to a 5-4 lead in the first period as Jake Cotter netted all of the Mustangs tallies.
However, Gowanda/Silver Creek answered back with a 4-1 second period scoring edge to rally into an 8-6 lead at the half.
The Panthers went on to hold a 14-9 lead after three periods.
Cotter finished with a total of 7 goals as Tyler Valley added 3 and Mason Lewis 1.
Now at 3-4, Medina next visits Lew-Port at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
