Shutouts are the rule in N-O field hockey
Barker, Roy-Hart and Medina all posted shutout victories in Niagara-Orleans League field hockey competition today.
Barker downed Wilson 2-0 on goals by Ella Taylor and Hailey Dodge, both off assists from Madelina Pavlock.
Roy-Hart bested Newfane 8-0 as Adella Dukes had 4 goals, Brooke Zglinicki 2 and Alayna Kowalski and Savannah Newton 1 each.
Medina defeated Kenmore 5-0 as Ava Blount and Sophia Castricone both had 2 goals and Penelope Schalck 1.
Akron 1, Starpoint 0
Akron nipped Starpoint 1-0 in a non league game on Wednesday on a goal by Ava Lombard assisted by Madigan Regan and Mackenzie Tomporowski.
Marissa Brege earned the shutout in goal and along with defenders Ava Fox, Alexis Salmon and Maddy Gates turned back 8 shots an 11 corners.
