Unable to bang out more than one hit in an inning, Somerset dropped a narrow 3-1 decision to host Lockport 2 this evening in a Lockport Midget ‘A’ League game.

Two runs in the first inning proved to be enough offense for Lockport 2 which takes over sole possession of first place at 3-1.

The loss drops Somerset to 3-2.

Kyle MacDonald had 2 of the 6 hits for Somerset whose lone run came in the third inning and was scored by Evan Ecker.

On the mound, Eddie Wasnock allowed only 4 hits and struck out 9 for Somerset which next visits Orchard Park on Thursday.
