Barker harriers down Albion and Medina

Barker emerged victorious in a Niagara-Orleans League cross-country tri meet this afternoon at Albion.

In the boys race, Barker defeated Albion 18-45 and Medina 20-39. Medina also downed Albion 21-38.

Barker’s duo of Luke Fay and Gabe Nestoros finished 1-2 with Medina’s Ryder Jones third.

In the girls competition, Barker won by forfeit both Albion and Medina which had incomplete teams.

Albion’s Cordelia Rivers won the race with Barker’s Mikayla Woock second.

Akron also swept Wilson by scores of 15-50.

In the boys race Quinn O’Malley, Logan Meyers and Aron Gehl finished 1-2-3 for Akron.

Likewise in the girls race Abby Bower, Kylee Rebmann and Kristine Wall finished 1-2-3 for Akron.

In the other meet, Newfane swept Roy-Hart by narrow scores of 27-29 in the boys’ race and 27-30 in the girls’ competition.

Newfane’s Liam Betteridge won the boys’ race and Eden Hillman the girls’.
