Kendall relay team wins sectionals

The Kendall High girls 400 relay quartet of Lyndsay Wright, Taylor Rutland, Taylor ReQua and Maya Rutland, captured the Section V Division 2 (small schools) championship at PennYan High Friday to earn a trip to the state meet. The foursome turned in a season best time of :49.82. Here Maya Rutland sprints toward the finish line after taking the handoff from ReQua.
The quartet of ReQua, Wright and Maya and Taylor Rutland is shown together here. It marks the second time in thee years that the Lady Eagles 400 relay team has qualified for the state meet. In 2014 ReQua, Maya Rutland and Taylor Rutland were all members of the Lady Eagles team that finished second at the state championships.
