Medina grad sets records at Morrisville
Medina High graduate Iyla Lilleby set a pair of school records this past week as she helped lead the SUNY Morrisville field hockey team to a 10-0 win over Southern Virginia.
Lilleby, a freshman Midfielder/Forward, scored a school record 5 goals in the victory and also had an assist. Her total of 11 points on the day also set a school record.
Lilleby then scored the game winning goal with just one second remaining in overtime in Morrisville’s 5-4 win over Manhattanville. She had a pair of goals and an assist on the day.
Her efforts have earned Lilleby the SUNYAC Conference Offensive Player of the Week award.
She now has a team leading 7 goals and a pair of assists for Morrisville which is 4-4 on the season.
A three-time first team Niagara-Orleans League honoree during her scholastic days at Medina, she holds the Mustangs records for most goals in a season (33) and a career (80).
