Albion dedicates Athletic Complex to former long time football Coach Diminuco
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – In special ceremonies prior to this evening’s Depew at Albion football game the Purple Eagles new athletic facilities which includes an artificial turf football field surround by a new all weather track and an artificial turf soccer/softball field was dedicated the Richard C Diminuco Athletic Complex in honor of the Purple Eagles former long time football coach and Athletic Director. Here Albion Superintendent Mickey Edwards presents a plaque to Diminuco in commemoration of the event. At right Diminuco addresses the crowd.
In his opening remarks Albion Superintendent Mickey Edwards highlighted Coach Diminuco’s 30 year career as the Purple Eagles head football coach which included 4 Section VI titles, 12 division titles and over 200 wins. Diminuco was joined by his whole family with a large group of his former players behind him. Click here to view a video of the ceremony.
