Banquet honors Tigers student athletes
Highighting this past week’s annual Lyndonville Tigers Athletic Banquet was the presentation of a number of special awards.
The Coaches’ Award was presented to Thomas Follman and Jasmine Plummer and the Babe Ruth Sportsmanship Award to Paul Kurz and Antoinette Gress.
Follman and Plummer also both received the Genesee Region League Scholar-Athlete Award.
The “Bub” Meland Memorial was presented to Jessica Harling and the “Doc” Layer Memorial to Nickolas Hinkson.
The Trevor Cook “Unsung Hero Award was presented to Brian Anderson and Jennifer Wetherbee.
The Harold Dix. Jr. Memorial Soccer Award was presented to Nicholas Albone and Anna Lewis.
Eddy Schildt and Aubrey Lewis received the Paul Howell Memorial Basketball Award.
Dustin Hinckley received the Mike Fuller Memorial Wrestling Award.
Michael Wells and Anna Lewis received the Ted Hettig Memorial Baseball/Softball Award.
The U.S. Army Scholar-Athlete Award was presented to Ian Smith and Jenna Doran, the U.S. Air Force Award to Kenneth Kalson and Cierra Riley and the U.S. Marine Corps Award to Andrew Dusett and Lisa Boyce.
Most Valuable Player Awards were presented to Makenzie Muck (Girls Soccer), Jessica Harling (Girls Volleyball), Dustin Joy (Boys Volleyball), Aubrey Lewis (Girls Basketball), Nickolas Hinkson and Eddy Schildt (Boys Basketball), Dustin Joy (Wrestling), Michael Wells (Baseball) and Carly Woodworth (Most Spirited Cheerleader).
Most Improved Player Awards were presented to Kelsi LaSpada (Girls Soccer), Riley Starr (Girls Volleyball), Mason Pecoraro (Boys Volleyball), Christina Jacobs (Cheerleading), Makenzie Muck (Girls Basketball), Corey Hydock (Boys Basketball), Garren Bayne (Wrestling), Nolan Donald (Baseball).
