Continuing a string of competitions in major international golf tournaments, Medina’s Melanie Green will be competing in the Canadian Women’s Open this week in Calgary, Alberta.
The 50th Canadian Women’s Open begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday. The field in the stroke event will be cut after Friday’s second round.
It will be the fourth straight major international competition in a row for Green.
She began the run by winning the R&A British Women’s Amateur Championship and then helped Team USA win the Arnold Palmer Cup, both in Ireland.
She then competed in the Evian Championship in France which is one of the five majors on the LPGA schedule.
Green graduated in May from the University of South Florida where she was a multi year American Conference and All American honoree. She earned American Conference Play of the Year honors this past spring.
