Narrow softball wins for White Birch, Banes
White Birch nipped Jr. Wilson 12-11 and Banes edged Poler’s Pub 5-3 in Medina Women’s Softball ‘A’ League games Monday evening.
Dana Siffringer had a walk off single in the seventh inning to earn the win for White Birch which had a total of 21 hits.
Maddy Boyle and Gracie Johnson both had 3 hits for White Birch as Ella Lewis, Aubrey Lewis, Kenzi Muck, Bekah Hoffee, Siffringer, Mallory Albone and Brynn Howell each added 2 and Ana Lewis 1.
Hoffee and Siffringer both had triples as Ella Lewis, Aubrey Lewis and Boyle all had doubles. Ella Lewis, Boyle, Johnson, Muck and Albone each drove in a pair of runs.
Banes 5 Polers Pub 3
A pair of two run scoring bursts proved to be enough to lift Banes past Poler’s Pub 5-3 and improve to 7-3 on the season.
Banes scored 2 quick runs in the first inning on singles by Sue Seefeldt, Lindsay Chatt, Robin Blaun and Kathy Allen.
Singles by Blaun, Jami Chatt, Allen, Amy Lavender and Morgan Allis added 2 more in the fourth frame.
Banes added an insurance run in the sixth on a single by Lindsay Chatt and a double by Blaun who went 3 for 3.
