Turf field project is a big one at Barker
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Construction is well underway on Barker Central’s new artificial turf field athletic complex. When completed the large turf surface will have room for a football/field hockey/soccer field along with baseball and softball fields. The gravel base for the field is being completed and the lights have already been installed. The field is scheduled to be competed in time for the fall high school sports season. Barker/Roy-Hart is scheduled to open the varsity football season at home on September 6 against Medina.
