Ceremony honors Roy-Hart student-athletes

The presentation of a number of special awards highlighted this week’s annual Roy-Hart Athletics Awards ceremonies.

Senior Julia Miles was named Roy-Hart’s Female Athlete of the Year. She competed in Cross-Country, Swimming and Track.

Three student-athletes shared in earning the Male Athlete of the Year Award. By sports season that trio includes: Fall Season – Jackson Webber (Football), Winter Season – Rem Albee (Basketball) and Spring Season – Jake Gould (Baseball).

Julia Miles received the Dave Brown Memorial Award for Swimming.

The Stan Voss Memorial Award for Baseball went to Brayden Hy.

Sharing in earning the Roy-Heart Award were Joel Hickman II (Wrestling), Cayla Burch (Field Hockey, Swimming and Track), Jayden Swygert (Soccer, Basketball, Track and Tennis) and Lawson Wallworth (Cross-Country and Track).

Julia Miles and Jackson Webber received the John Jablonski Outstanding Track Athlete Award.

Elliana Brauen received the Bill Holahan Coaches Ward.

The Dan Seefeldt Award was presented to Dawson Draper and Rem Albee.

Caleb Verratti received the Connor Callaghan Courage Award.

The Walter Kowalski Award went to Jackson West.

Nick Armenia and Madison DiNieri received the Brian Weaver Memorial Award for outstanding citizenship in the Roy-Hart community.

DiNieri was also named the first recipient of the Ram of the Year Award.

Sophia Santella received the Wally Sidebottom Memorial Award of Excellence.

The Niagara-Orleans League Scholar Athlete Award was presented to Sophia Santella and Jackson Webber.

Nick Armenia and Caleb Verratti received the William Donovan Memorial Scholarship Award.

A 5 Year Plaque was presented to Abigail Glyshaw for Swimming.

Six Year Plaques went to Lawson Wallworth for Cross-Country and Track and to Sophia Santella for Track.
