Southwestern spikers oust Medina

JAMESTOWN – Fifth seeded Southwestern defeated No. 13 Medina in straight sets 25-9, 25-12, 25-11 Tuesday evening in the quarterfinal round of the Section VI Class C volleyball playoffs.Jenna Carpenter and Nicole Blount both had four kills for Medina. Felisha Houseman added three service aces and Emily Kams eight assists for the Mustangs.

Also in Class C, No. 2 Eden defeated No. 7 Roy-Hart 25-15, 25-4, 25-15 and No. 6 Wilson upended No. 3 Falconer 25-13, 25-21, 25-22 as Allie Bubar had five kills and four aces and Megan Dilawa seven kills to lead the way.
