Red Creek upsets Kendall

KENDALL – Breaking a scoreless deadlock, No. 8 seed Red Creek used a quick two goal scoring burst midway through the second half to key a 2-0 upset victory over top seeded Kendall this evening in the quarterfinal round of the Section V Class C-1 playoffs.

Holley also bowed in the C-1 quarterfinals losing 1-0 to the World of Inquiry school at Rochester.

Red Creek scored with 21 and 18 minutes to go in the second half on tallies by Jerry Field and Tristen McIntyre to earn the win over Kendall which finishes the season at 14-2-1.

Girls Soccer

Jasper-Troupsburg 6, Lyndonville 0
Top seeded Jasper-Troupsburg roared out to a commanding 5-0 half-time advantage in route to posting a 6-0 victory over No. 8 Lyndonville this evening in the Section V Class DD quarterfinals.

Jasper-Troupsburg improves to 16-1 and Lyndonville finishes at 7-11.

Volleyball

Warsaw 25-25-25, Kendall 5-7-18
No. 3 seed Warsaw ousted No. 6 Kendall 25-5, 25-7, 25-18 this afternoon in the Section V Class DDD quarterfinals.

Football

Starpoint 28, Barker/Roy-Hart 20
PENDLETON – Trailing 20-14 at the half, Starpoint used two unanswered third quarter touchdowns, on runs of 11 and 19 yards by Evan Majewski, to earn a 28-20 victory over Barker/Roy-Hart this afternoon in a non league game.

Jacob Haight scored all three of Barker/Roy-Hart’s touchdowns on runs of 2 and 87 yards and on a 52 yard intercept return. He also had a two-point conversion.

Barker/Roy-Hart next hosts Newfane at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Middleport in a season ending non league game.
