A 300 game for Medina High senior

It came a few weeks early but Medina High senior Hayden Allis recently gave himself a special Christmas present as he registered the first sanctioned 300 game of his young bowling career.
“It was a lot of fun. I really didn’t think about it until the last frame,” said Allis who achieved the perfect game while bowling a Medina Strikers Youth Bowling League make-up match at Medina Lanes with his teammate Adam Hoot.
“I looked up at the scoreboard in the eighth frame and saw he had made them all but I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want to disrupt him” said Hoot who is also a teammate of Allis on the Medina High soccer squad.
Allis, who has a 210 average, rolled the perfect game in the middle game of his series and he kept the momentum rolling eight straight strikes to open the third game. He finished that game with a 256 for a 760 series.
The accomplishment also continues a tradition in the Allis family which has a number of 300 bowlers including his uncle, Tom Allis, who has registered 34 perfect games and his dad, Roger Allis, who has half a dozen 300’s.
“After I did it they said welcome to the club,” added Hayden who also competes regularly in tournaments in Rochester.
