Wilson golfers post key win over Medina

Moving into the drivers seat in the title race, Wilson bested visiting Medina 228-234 this afternoon in a key Niagara-Orleans League golf match.

The victory opens up a two match lead for undefeated (10-0) Wilson as runner-up Medina slips to 8-2.

Connor Seeley shot 43, Tom Carr 44 and Gabe Curcione 45 to lead the way for Wilson.

Medina’s Ian Wagner took medalist honors with a 42. Gage Masters added a 43 and Mike Cardone a 46 for the Mustangs.

In the other N-O matches, Akron (6-3-1) defeated Roy-Hart (3-7) 256-276, Newfane (4-6) downed Albion (1-9) 240-284 and Barker (6-3-1) won by forfeit over CSAT (1-9) which had only three golfers for the match.

Steven Borowczyk shot 47 to lead Akron.

Connor Duncan took medalist honors with a 45 for Newfane which also got rounds of 47 from Paige Emborsky and Aiden Herlan.

Spencer Zimmerman led Barker with a 45.
