Lyndonville girls surge past Holley; Big fourth quarter lifts Roy-Hart past Barker

Moving on top to stay in the third quarter, Lyndonville went on to defeat Holley 43-33 in a Genesee Region League girls basketball game this evening at Holley.

Breaking away from a 16-26 half-time deadlock, Lyndonville outscored Holley 17-10 in the third period to move out to a 33-26 advantage.

Addison Dillenbeck, Bella Groves and Alexa Robinson all hit threes and Ashlee Stephens had a three-point play to lead the Lady Tigers during that decisive surge. Dillenbeck had a total of 7 points in the period.

A basket by Groves and a three by Dillenbeck quickly upped the Lady Tigers lead to 12, 38-26, at the outset of the final period and the Lady Hawks could get no closer than 8 after that.

Dillenbeck and Stephens both finished with 12 and Groves 10 to lead Lyndonville as Robinson added 7 and Lilly Raduns 2.

Alivia Wolf and Zoey Wolfe each scored 11 for Holley as Samantha Bates added 9 and Emma Brady 2.

Wilson 62, Medina 29
League leading defending champion Wilson improved to 6-0 by downing visiting Medina 62-29 in a Niagara-Orleans contest.

Peyton McInnis scored a game high 19, Rian Faery 12 and Bella Thrush 10 to lead a parade of 10 Wilson point getters.

Alexa Demmer scored 11 and Honest Hill 7 for Medina.

Roy-Hart 36, Barker 31
Trailing 28-21, Roy-Hart rallied with a 15-3 fourth quarter scoring surge to down Barker 36-31 in the other N-O contest.

Courtney Aquilina, Adella Dukes and Macie Sidor each scored 7 and Lila Brigham 5 to pace Roy-Hart.

Rachel Sutter led Barker with 9 as Michayla Greene, Hailey Dodge and Keira Dalton each added 6.

Roy-Hart is now 2-3 and Barker 0-6 in N-O action.
