Lyndonville ‘9’ nips Kendall

Holley, Roy-Hart post wins

In a tight pitchers duel, Lyndonville edged past visiting Kendall 4-3 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League baseball game.

Justin Edwards hurled a three hitter with six strikeouts for Lyndonville which improves to 8-0 in the league and 10-0 overall.

Alex Sutphen scattered eight hits and struck out eight for Kendall which is now 3-2 and 3-3 overall.

Evan Milleville had three hits and drove in three runs and Michael Wells two hits and an RBI to lead Lyndonville at the plate.

Kendall scored two quick runs in the first inning on hits by Sutphen, Richard Swift and Cody Spellan. The Eagles later added a run in the six on a walk, an error and a fielders choice play.

Lyndonville rallied into a 3-2 lead by scoring three times in the fourth on an RBI single by Wells and a two-run single by Milleville. Singles by AJ Buckland and Chris Scroger set up the threat.

The Tigers then scored the game winner in the sixth on an RBI single by Milleville. A single by Wells and an error set up the opportunity.

Holley 5, Pembroke 4
Trailing 4-2, Holley rallied for three runs in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Nick Passarell, and error and a fielders choice play off the bat of Luke Silvis to nip Pembroke 5-4 in a G-R contest.

A hit batsman and two walks loaded the bases to set up the threat.

Passarell had two hits on the day as Holley improves to 4-3.

Roy-Hart 15, Wilson 2
Roy-Hart romped past host Wilson 15-2 to improve to 6-1 in Niagara-Orleans League baseball action.

Austin Heschke had a bases loaded three-run triple and an RBI sacrifice fly to lead the Roy-Hart attack as CJ Fitch added an RBI double and John O’Brien two hits.

The loss drops Wilson to 0-7.
