Lacrosse game opens Medina’s Alumni Weekend celebration

Medina High’s inaugural summertime Alumni Weekend got underway this evening with a lacrosse game at Vets Park.

Some 30 Mustang alums took part in the contest with current Medina coaches Eric Valley and Gordy Luthart serving as game officials.

The alumni weekend continues on Saturday with a golf tournament at Shelridge followed by a banquet for all participating alumni at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

On Sunday the weekend will conclude with a series of contests at Vets Park including a girls soccer game at 10 a.m., a baseball game for alumni 30 and younger at noon, a home run derby at 1:45 p.m., a baseball game for alumni over 30 at 2:15 p.m., a young alumni men’s soccer game at 4 p.m. and an older alumni men’s soccer game at 6 p.m.
