Kendall cagers down Pembroke
Leading by a narrow 26-25 margin at the half, Kendall used a 19-10 third period scoring burst to key a 67-59 victory over visiting Pembroke this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.
Garret Love had 18 points and 10 rebounds, Isaiah Brown 16 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks, Devin Appleton 11 points, including three threes, and Will Condo 8 assists to key the victory for Kendall which improves to 7-6.
Elba 65, Lyndonville 35
Trailing 15-14 after one period, Elba outscored host Lyndonville 33-10 over the middle two quarters to earn a 65-35 G-R victory.
Elba built up leads of 31-20 at the half and 47-25 at the three-quarter mark.
Ty Hrovat had 12 points, Phillips Gresham 8 and Brandon Schoolcraft 6 for Lyndonville. AJ Buckland, Evan Milleville and Nick Hinkson each added 3 for the Tigers.
Byron-Bergen 53, Holley 31
Up by just one,19-18, at the half, Byron-Bergen outscored host Holley 34-13 in the second half to notch a 53-31 G-R victory.
The Bees moved out to a 34-25 lead at the three-quarter mark and then outscored the Hawks 19-6 in the final stanza to close out the win.
Josh Porter scored 8 points, Joey DeFelice 7 and Corey Winter 6 for Holley. Winter also grabbed off 13 rebounds.
