Kendall wins opener; Medina, Roy-Hart bow
Building up leads of 26-10 at the half and 37-21 after three-quarters, Kendall went on to score a 57-48 victory over host Perry in the Eagles non league season opener this evening.
Louie Conte scored 13 and Jacek Kwiatkowski 11 to lead Kendall as Austin Wakefield added 8, Will Kludt 7 and Austin Werth, Hunter Richards and Jonas Rhodes 6 each. Conte also had 9 rebounds and Wakefield 5 assists and 4 steals.
Lancaster 70, Medina 26
Steadily pulling away, Class AAA Lancaster posted a 70-26 win over visiting Class B1 Medina in a non league game.
Jordan Alexander poured in a game high 31 points, including 21 in the first half, to set the pace for Lancaster which led by margins of 17-5 after the first quarter, 34-13 at the half and 59-19 at the three-quarter mark.
Preston Woodworth led Medina with 14 as Christian Moss added 4, Elijah Doxey and Roosevelt Mitchell 3 each and Kaedon Cleveland 2.
Now at 0-2, Medina next visits West Seneca West on Wednesday in another non league contest.
Notre Dame 72, Roy-Hart 56.
Trailing by two, 37-35, at the half, Notre Dame used a big 22-9 third period scoring edge to rally into a 57-46 lead in route to posting a 72-56 non league win over visiting Roy-Hart.
Jaden Sherwood scored 23 and Jay Antinore 11 to lead the way for Notre Dame.
Dan Aqulina scored a game high 25, Rem Albee 10 and Brayden Ricker 7 for Roy-Hart.
