Holley, Kendall win tourney titles

Holley and Kendall both captured season opening boys soccer tournament championships this evening.

The host Hawks used a big first half scoring burst to take top honors at the Holley Tournament by blanking Newfane 3-0.

The Hawks first half scoring parade included goals by Derek McArthur, off an assist from Joe DeFelice, Tyler Chmylak from Justin Parker and Andrew Cary from Gabe Mendoza.

Kendall bested the host Spartans 4-1 to win the Sodus Tournement.

Jake Adams scored the three goal hat-trick in the first half to lead the way for Kendall as Cody Travis, Riley Iqbal and Brandon Lewis earned assists.

Iqbal scored the Eagles lone second half goal off an assist from Adams.

Roy-Hart took third place honors at the Holley Tournament by nipping Batavia 2-1 on a goal by Colton Spicer with five minutes to go.

John Stoddard scored the Rams first goal.
