Albion, Holley net shutout wins
Improving to 6-3, Albion blanked host Newfane 5.5-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.
Andrew Burroughs, Dyer Benjovesky and Josh Metzler all scored straight set wins in singles competition for Albion.
The Purple Eagles also got wins from the doubles teams of Chris Tabor – Kyler McQuillan, Dan Beam – Michael Stilwell and Cristal Quintana and Madyson Coville.
Holley boosted its Genesee Region League record to 10-2 with a 5-0 victory over Byron-Bergen.
Straight set wins by the singles trio of Corey Winter, Ian Penders and Brady Smith led Holley.
The Hawks also got straight set wins by the doubles teams of Jacob McAllister – John Rusin and David Sutton – Brandon Moore.
