JFK forfeits Friday’s game to Medina
For area high school football this has truly become the season of the forfeit.
The latest is this afternoon’s announcement that JFK is forfeiting its game at Medina on Friday .
“Unfortunately this Friday’s football game vs JFK has been cancelled. JKF has forfeited due to not having enough players,” said Medina Coach Eric Valley.
This marks the second time this season that Medina has had a home game get wiped out by a forfeit. The earlier one saw Eden forfeit to the Mustangs again due to a shortage of eligible players.
Albion likewise has picked up a forfeit win this season over Burgard which ended its season after week three due to a combination of injuries and a shortage of players.
With the forfeit win Medina is now 5-0 in the C North Division and 6-0 overall. The Mustangs next game will be on Thursday October 12 at undefeated (4-0, 5-0) Newfane which will determine the C North title.
