Exploding out to a 21-0 lead in the first 8 minutes, Medina went on to celebrate Homecoming by posting a 63-0 win over Roy-Hart/Barker in a C North Division game at Vets Park this evening.
Christian Moss opened the scoring for Medina with a 6 yard touchdown run just 3 minutes in as Cole Callard tacked on the first of his 9 straight extra point kicks which tied his own school record. A 24 yard pass completion from quarterback Julian Woodworth to Kaedon Cleveland highlighted the drive.
Noah Cudzilo followed up with a 40 yard touchdown run and Moss a 65 yard TD carry to make it 21-0 with 3:48 still to go in the opening quarter.
The Mustangs, which found the endzone on all 9 possessions on the evening, again scored 3 touchdowns in the second quarter to double the lead to 42-0.
Woodworth had touchdown passes of 20 yards to Cudzilo and 31 yards to Justin Pitts and Amari Soule a 7 yard TD run during that stretch. An interception by Kolton Fletcher set up the second tally.
Jerrell Neely had 2 sacks in the half for the Mustangs defensive unit which held the Bulls to minus yardage over the opening two quarters.
The Medina advantage ballooned to 56-0 after third period touchdowns by Moss on a 3 yard run and by Elijah Doxey on a 30 yard interception return. A 38 yard run by Cleveland set up Moss’ TD.
Liam Castricone rounded out the Mustangs scoring with a 1 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Medina improves to 4-0 in the division and 5-0 overall while Roy-Hart/Barker slips to 1-2, 2-3.
