Wilson, Barker and Roy-Hart open field hockey season with wins

Pulling away in the second half, Wilson romped to a 7-0 victory over Medina at Vets Park.
Wilson led 2-0 at the half on goals by JoJo Turvey and Alex Seeley.
Seeley then completed her hat-trick with a pair of goals in the second half which also included tallies by Caitlyn Starck, Rachael Cobo and Erin Boyle.
Barker 7, Kenmore 0
Defending champion Barker likewise held just a 2-0 half-time advantage over visiting Kenmore but came on strong in the second half to claim a 7-0 victory.
Lydia Dewart scored both first half goals for Barker.
The Lady Raiders then got two goals from Emily Annable and one each from Caitlyn Mason, Rebecca Stoloski and Emma Duffy in the second half.
Mason and Courtney Bodine shared in earning the shutout in goal.
Roy-Hart 2, Newfane 1
Roy-Hart made first half goals by Delany Draper and Sydney Newton stand up for a 2-1 victory at Newfane.
Brenna Sheehan scored Newfane’s goal late in the second half.
