Unable to build on a half-time lead, Medina dropped a narrow 13-11 decision at Silver Creek this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse game.

Up 10-8 at the half, Medina managed just one goal in the second half as the Mustangs slip to 3-6 in the division and 6-6 overall.

“We just couldn’t get any offense going in the second half,” said Medina Coach Gordy Luthart. “They really tightened up defensively in the second half. We had some good shots but their goalie came up big for them.”

Trailing 4-2 after one period, Medina erupted for 8 goals in the second period to grab the 10-8 half-time advantage.

Brett Pecoraro, Jake Cotter and Aaron Feltz each had two goals for the Mustangs during that stretch as Brendan Luthart and Tyler Valley both netted 1.

Pecoraro had a total of 4 goals on the day and Cotter 3.
