Seahorses score sweep over Hornets
Medina swept past host Oakfield-Alabama this evening in a non league swim meet.
The Seahorses won the boys meet 59-35 and the girls competition 48-46.
Damien Norris was a double winner in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Free for the Medina boys squad which also had Chase Pecoraro win the 200 Free, Kevin Capstick the 100 Butterfly, Daniel Heil the 100 Backstroke and Kristian Snyder the 100 Breaststroke.
Heil, Snyder and Norrish also teamed up with Mason Pecoraro to win the 200 Medley Relay. Heil, Snyder, Chase Pecoraro and Powell Stephens combined to win the 200 Free Relay.
Andrea Toussaint won the 200 Individual Medley, Alyssa Beyer the 50 Free and Tessa Pecoraro the 500 Free to lead the Medina girls team.
Beyer and Toussaint also teamed up with Olivia Carter and Hannah Heil to win the 200 Free Relay.
Both Medina teams are now at 3-1 heading into Thursday’s Niagara-Orleans League opener at Newfane.
